School of Similarities Bio Page of Mary Ann Eaton

Founder - School of Similarities

Hello, I am Mary Ann Eaton, an American Speech Hearing Association (ASHA) certified Speech & Language Pathologist and founder of School of Similarities.

For over thirty years I provided speech, language and communication services to students with speech and language challenges across all grade levels  (ages pre-school through 21) in public and private schools in New York's Capital Region.

Currently I design and lead professional and personal development seminars. I provide training, coaching, mentoring, guided conversation, and consultation for administrators, teachers, service providers, parents, and students in the areas of literacy, language development, math literacy, communication skills, and embracing change. I also present on co-teaching, differentiating instruction, and implementing RTI at the local, state, and national level.

In 2007 recognizing the merits of RTI and its potential for positive instructional impact I wrote and published RTI: The Classroom Connection for Literacy with co-author, Karen A. Kemp. In 2008 I colloborated with co-authors, Karen A. Kemp, and Sharon Poole in writing and publishing RTI & Math: The Classroom Connection.

Thank you for your attention. If you are interested below is a summary of my educational and professional experiences.
